Biography

Xi Peng is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, affiliate appointments with ECE and BME, Director of Pediatric MR Research heading the Multiparametric Quantitative MRI Group at the University of Iowa. His research focuses on the development of innovative MRI data acquisition and computational tools for high-dimensional brain imaging, including MR Spectroscopic imaging, MR Elastography, quantitative imaging, etc.

He was an associate professor at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as PI on several key grants. His work received the Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude Merit Awards from ISMRM, Best Paper Award from the MR Elastography study group and Outstanding Research Award from OCSMRM.
